Charles University - Faculty of Pharmacy
The Faculty of Pharmacy of Charles University is found in Hradec Kralove, a city of about 100,000 inhabitants. The teaching for foreign students is in English.
Pharmacy
It is a five-year course leading to a Master degree. The concept of the study programme corresponds with the contemporary state and standard of pharmaceutical sciences, the needs of the pharmaceutical practice in the pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, pharmaceutical industry and it creates a base for the postgraduate studies and prospective research carrier.
The study programme comprises compulsory, electives and optional courses. The academic year consists of the winter and summer term (semester). Each semester consists of 14 weeks of classes, which are followed by 4 to 5 weeks of examination period. The total number of classes per week amounts to approximately 28 hours including compulsory and electives subjects.
With graduation, the student is awarded the academic degree of Magister(Mgr.)
Applicants are selected on the basis of an online interview and the qualifications of the student in Biology and Chemistry, as shown on the High School Diploma, as well as proof of good knowledge of the English Language. The annual tuition fees are 180,000 Czech Crowns (6,600 Euro approximately).
